REIKI - ('Rei' which means 'the Wisdom of God or the Higher Power' and 'Ki' which means 'life force energy.') is a method of natural healing based on the application of Universal Life Force Energy.
Reiki is not a religion and does not require a belief system. The only requirement is that the person is willing to accept help.
In its simplest form, Reiki is the use of hands placed upon the body with the intent to bring about healing and willing for Reiki energy to flow.
Since there is no time and space to limit spirit, Reiki can operate without regard to limitations of space. A skilled Reiki practitioner can bring healing to a recipient regardless of distance.
In all cases Reiki energy is being received.
It
is not uncommon to experience sensations following a Reiki treatment. Both
of these can be a part of the healing process.
It's not uncommon to experience tears as emotional wounds begin healing or
to experience some physical sensation as a result of an ailment being corrected
within the body.
Reiki
is not a replacement for traditional medical treatments.
They should be used as an addition to traditional medical treatments and counseling.
You should always see your doctor or veterinarian for any questions you may
have regarding your own or your pets' health.
